NAEA - Changes to the cooling off period

As of Friday 13th June 2014, the ‘cooling off’ period will be extended from 7 days to 14 days; the Regulations which bring about this change are the Consumer Contract (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The Regulations apply in relation to contracts entered into on or after that date. With the introduction of these Regulations the following have been superseded and therefore, do not apply after the aforementioned date: •The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulation 2000 •The Cancellation of Contracts made in a Consumer’s Home or Place of Work etc Regulations 2008 As part of our Primary Authority Partnership with Warwickshire Trading Standards, we are able to provide assured advice, the link to this document is as follows: http://www.nfopp-regulation.co.uk/media/610782/cancellation-of-contracts.pdf
